{"id":23374,"date":"2025-09-03T09:44:47","date_gmt":"2025-09-03T13:44:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.quinenco.cl\/?p=23374"},"modified":"2025-09-08T09:47:23","modified_gmt":"2025-09-08T12:47:23","slug":"quinenco-initiates-process-to-sell-5-of-nexans-shares","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/qa-quinenco.lfi.cl\/en\/quinenco-initiates-process-to-sell-5-of-nexans-shares\/","title":{"rendered":"Qui\u00f1enco Initiates Process to Sell 5%  of Nexans Shares"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>Invexans Limited, a subsidiary of Qui\u00f1enco, announced its intention to sell approximately 2.2 million shares, equivalent to 5% of its equity stake in the French multinational.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>September 3, 2025 &#8211;<\/strong> Through a material information submitted to the Chilean Financial Market Commission (CMF), Qui\u00f1enco reported today that its subsidiary Invexans Limited has initiated an accelerated bookbuilding offering to sell approximately 2.2 million shares of the French multinational Nexans, equivalent to 5% of the company.<\/p>\n<p>The process began today and will be carried out through a placement to institutional investors. It is estimated that the sale process will conclude no later than tomorrow, September 4, and that the settlement of the shares will take place on Monday, September 8.<\/p>\n<p>Qui\u00f1enco, through its subsidiaries, has been a shareholder of Nexans since 2008, during which time the value of the French multinational has increased significantly. The sale of the shares responds to market conditions and the holding&#8217;s intention to adjust its position in Nexans, as well as to diversify its investment portfolio.<\/p>\n<p>If the sale is completed, Qui\u00f1enco&#8217;s stake in the French multinational would decrease from 14.2% to 9.2%, thus terminating the Corporate Governance Agreement signed in October 2022 between the aforementioned subsidiary and Nexans, as it falls below the 10% threshold established as a condition for its validity.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, as part of the sale, a 90-day lock-up period is committed in favor of the banks acting as global coordinators and joint bookrunners of the operation: Goldman Sachs International and Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 G\u00e9n\u00e9rale. Qui\u00f1enco also reported that Lazard is acting as financial advisor to Invexans Limited in the process.<br \/>\n______<br \/>\n<em>With more than 65 years in business, Qui\u00f1enco is one of the most diversified and global groups in Chile.
